Happy Birthday to Moi

Except my birthday was last Monday.

I'm 18! I can legally buy and drink alcohol in Quebec, and buy lotto tickets and porn everywhere else.

In clothes news, I bought a purple satin dress with black butterfly embroidery-which sounds weird, but looks cool- at the new March of Dimes store downtown, except it's relatively loosely based with the March of Dimes. It's called Era: Modern Vintage Store, and about a quarter of the store is vintage, and the rest is expensive local designer stuff. I bought a t-shirt last summer there (which I'm also currently wearing) that was thirty dollars, the most expensive article of clothing I've ever saved up for and bought, and a size too big. The old March of Dimes store was called The Mod Shop where I found some good finds like a purple corduroy skirt ($5), a polka dot dress($10), and a cool checked scarf($1). Not to mention, among the older women who worked there, there was a young, cute guy who would make amusing comments about the stuff you were buying (Pooolka dots). Alie and I affectionately dubbed him Eric, because he seemed like an Eric. The new March of Dimes place just has a guy with a weird 'fro, and emo glasses who is very patronizing. (Yes, I understand the concept of putting my just purchased clothes into a bag for me, you don't have to explain to me that that's what you're going to do.)

Not that I'm dissing 'fros and emo glasses. Emo glasses are the only emo thing I like, they just did not suit him.

I have more to talk about, but I also have slightly more important work to do, and I need a break after that rant.

Ah toodle-oo
